Fat Lars / Biography
With raw energy, strong riffs and a punk attitude from the coastal town of Sandefjord, Fat Lars delivers music that hits both the heart and eardrums.

How it started
The band was started on December 4, 2020 by Ivica Arsic (drums), Djordje Zivkovic (guitar), Steffen Mario Hansen (bass, backing vocals) and Sanja (vocals).
The next two years were a time of change and new impulses. Guitarists Martin Pettersen and Slobodan Jovanovic came in and left their mark on the sound. In the summer of 2022, the band found its permanent formation with the addition of Per Einar Solli (guitar) and Ketil Øyen (guitar) – the start of one of the most creative and productive periods in the band's history.
First recording
In the spring of 2023, Fat Lars recorded their first demo EP, The Untold Story. It contained three cover songs and one original, and demonstrated the band's ability to combine classical inspirations with their own distinctive style. Shortly after, Ketil Øyen left the band, but the recording experience gave a new spark and a clearer musical direction.

From cover songs to original songs
From being a pure cover band, Fat Lars became a songwriting force with a focus on original material – always with an emphasis on energy, creativity and melodies that stick. This journey led to their debut album Alter Ego, released in the summer of 2024.

The crew is developing
In January 2025, Børge Edvardsen joined as rhythm guitarist, and in October 2025, Joachim Askeland joined as lead guitarist.
